Bloomin’ marvellous as local Petersfield Company is recognised for its contribution to In-Bloom awards.
At a special awards ceremony held on Friday night at Alton, local Grounds Maintenance Company VGC Ltd was recognised for its contribution towards Alton Gardens being presented with 2 top In - Bloom awards. A Gold award went to Alton for their Willow Court Gardens, which also gained best in category, the highest award available for local judging.
The second award was regional silver for the public gardens in Alton. The regional judging is part of In – Bloom’s national competition and this is the first time Alton has achieved such a high award for their gardens. VGC Ltd were involved in both projects and provided training for Alton Council staff giving expert advice and help in correct maintenance procedures. VGC also redesigned the larger flowerbeds for both Willow Court gardens and the town’s public gardens.
Managing Director of VGC Ltd, Christian Dupont is delighted and said, “After a wet and relatively difficult season, this is a wonderful validation of the quality and service VGC Ltd can provide. It is excellent recognition for all the hard working staff at VGC. The company has grown in every way and the recognition will help us to maintain and build upon our high standards”
